For an example of such a custom application, check out the working prototype of the Tradition Fitting System, an application to support golf club fitting by golf professionals. A prototype system has been built, and is being used at a full-service golf school and pro shop in South Carolina. It will be used as the "functional spec" for the resalable module. The module will be built as a DotNetNuke module, utilizing Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Database, ASP.Net 3.5, Ajax and Linq for SQL.

The application provides for capture of customer profile information (name, address, age, golf history, etc.), as well as measurements of existing golf clubs, observed characteristics such as swing speed, swing flaws, etc. The system then applies formulas to define characteristics of a custom club fitting (primarily shaft frequencies, but also loft, lie and mix of clubs.
